April KLR650 St. Joe River Ride – Jet Boat Races

I had a GREAT Time on Yesterdays ride

Yea the dust was bad at times and DAM there was a lot of people up there, but it was a good time = Fortunately we headed out quick after the last heat, and suffered about 5 – 10 miles of heavy traffic, but nothing like the Massive line behind us. Only two ways down / out of the canyon so it was bound to be Mayhem

My GpPro Battery went dead 1/2 way through the ride, but I did get a few pictures, and I  have some videos to edit so I will post the pictures now, and the videos as I get the time to edit them.

When I got to Ricks, bill was already there (Bills first ride with the group = Finally)

Marc and Bob Pulled up shortly after – Great to see ya Bob after you wintering down south

We Stopped in St. Mary’s for lunch as surely the two restaurants up the river would be swamped – now time to head up the river :poke: on the dust side.

KLR650

We found a good vantage point, so we stopped to watch the boats

We then headed up to Calder to check things out / cross the river, and man what that place full of people. We headed right through town (if ya can call it that)

Seems they where doing some unattended grass burning, and on a road we had to back track on we found this big old dead cedar burning hmm234 Seems we where the only ones concerned about it

KLR650

We heard the last heat of boats heading down stream, so we picked a spot to watch them . . . . .
